Page 1 of 2 The Heelying Golden Rule is to Not be Cocky It happens far to often... i see someone in the street or on a video, using heelys and they are trying things outside of their ability. As a beginner, you will do simple things such as putting your hands out when you first go into a glide or having your legs quite far apart. These happen naturaly because your brain is telling you that you can't do it without losing your balance. Beginners often try and correct them to try and make themselves seem more stylish on their Heelys, two things: you look rigid not stylish and you're putting yourself in danger because your off balance. There is a good chance you are asking yourself: "how can I improve without pushing myself?" Well here's the thing, you can push yourself and should, but not in a street or on a video where your trying to show off because your probably going too fast and there may be other dangers (cars, sticking out objects, ect) also wear proper safety equipment (helmet & pads). Some things, such as the examples above, don't come by trying to do things you can't, they come from practicing (as they are to do with balance). These type of things should be obvious.
